  • Miami community listens to Carnes discuss the role of arts has in combating "cultures of violence" on WLRN 91.3 FM’s “Topical Currents,” National Public Radio.

  • 03/19/08 - "Experiencing the War in Iraq" art exhibition helps soldiers when they come home. Carnes is honored as featured performer. Six hundred submissions worldwide. www.reconnectus.org

  • The aim of the exhibition is to give a human face to the complex conflict in Iraq, to bring together diverse expressions of individual experience and to reconnect those who have unconsciously cocooned themselves from the grim reality of the war.

  • 02/20/08 - Miami New Times proclaims the former U.S. Army attack helicopter pilot "...smart, funny, fluffy...and flaky...like a collie." They definitely have not seen Carnes' Friday night Miami debut and deconstructive dissertation on evil in his play "Last Words." Oh well, fiction finds another home through journalism. We love it.
